Description

This exceptional antique sterling silver pin cushion has been realistically modelled in the form of a heeled shoe.

The surface of this Victorian silver pin cushion is embellished with impressive bright cut engraved scrolling leaf decoration accented with undulating borders.

The toe of the shoe is further ornamented with six shaped, geometrically arranged chalcedony hardstones.

The upper portion of the shoe features the velvet cushion, in addition to a fabric ribbon bow; these fabric articles have been recovered in green velvet/ribbon replicating the appearance of the original covering.

The sole of the shoe/underside of the piece is plain and unembellished.
