This stunning, fine and impressive antique Victorian gemstone pendant has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold.
The impressive circular pendant is embellished with an impressive central 6.10ct cabochon cut chrysoberyl, encompassed with a twenty-eight pavé set Dutch diamonds.
The anterior face is further ornamented with a band of rope twist decoration to a bordering outer circumference of seed pearls, completing the design
The 14ct yellow gold reverse of the pendant is fitted with a push fit glass panel; this panel opens to allow a personal memento or keepsake to be displayed.
This highly desirable locket is suspended from a contemporary 18" yellow gold chain via a plain ring loop to the apex of the design, securing with a conventional spring-loaded bolt ring fastening to the reverse.
This Victorian locket has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 and 14 carat gold.
The antique pendant is supplied with an IDGL diamond and gemstone grading report card.
The yellow gold cat's eye chrysoberyl pendant centres on the optical phenomenon of chatoyancy, where reflected light forms a concentrated band across the gemstone surface, creating movement and depth with the notable "cats eye" effect. The rarity of cat's eye chrysoberyl enhances collectible significance, while the yellow gold setting amplifies tonal warmth and visual cohesion. This integration of optical rarity and symbolic association contributes to its enduring appeal.
