Description

This fine and impressive vintage 'Black Hills'* ring has been crafted in two tone 14 ct yellow gold.

The anterior face of the substantial, barrel shaped design is ornamented with the raised text 'ALASKA' above two applied vine leaves and associated grapes, synonymous with items crafted in Black Hills gold.

The flared ring shoulders integrate in to the textured trellis pattern which embellishes the anterior face of this impressive gold ring.

The ring shoulders blend in to the plain ring shank with a simple single groove accenting the junction.

This vintage 1950's Black Hills ring is hallmarked to the interior with the maker's mark (H.D.K) and the 14 ct gold guarantee mark (14k).

This versatile ring may be worn either by gents or ladies.

NOTE* Black Hills Gold was originally gold mined in South Dakota in the 1870s. More recently, in 1980, jewellery made only in South Dakota can be referred to has 'Black Hills Gold'.

Jewellery crafted in Black Hills Gold usually incorporates vine leaf and grape designs in to any arrangement. Use of three colours of gold (gold alloys) is also synonymous with Black Hills Gold.
