A fine and impressive antique George VI English sterling silver cup and cover made by Charles Boyton; an addition to our presentation silverware collection

This exceptional antique George VI sterling silver cup and cover has a circular rounded form to a tapering pedestal and circular domed, spreading foot.


The surface of this impressive Charles Boyton cup and cover has a planished silver finish, in the classic Arts and Crafts style.


The cup retains the original hallmarked push fit domed cover surmounted with an exceptional cast finial modelled in the form of a coronet.


This George VI silver cup is fitted with two impressive cast silver leaf shaped handles, each with a plain platueau to the upper portion.


This exceptional example of antique silverware is supported by a tapering pedestal encircled with leaf festoons to the upper and lower portions


This impressive cup has a weighted base and retains the original covering to the underside.


The cup was crafted and signed by the renowned London silvermith Charles Boyton.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the cup and part hallmarks to the rim of the cover are all very clear; these hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
