This exceptional antique George III Newcastle sterling silver salver has a plain oval form onto four bracket style feet.


The surface of the salver is plain and unembellished.


The raised rounded border of this provincial salver is encompassed with an applied thread decorated border.


The salver is supported by four impressive cast sterling silver bracket style feet, accented with fluted decoration to the lower, tapering portion.


This exceptional antique silver salver was crafted by the renowned Newcastle silversmiths John Robertson I & David Darling.

This antique oval silver serving salver is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

There are some surface blemishes in keeping with age.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the salver are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
